got it!!!!
spent about 5 hours last night doing online orientation. i finally passed the test, and now have the job for sure. i'm so relieved. going to be doing online training soon.
why should we read shakespeare
within shakespeare's writing he has many deep meanings and symbolisms that we can take and use in our every day lives. we can find and think about many things of love that shakespeare uses in his writings, and apply them to our society. maybe it could help us find answers to questions we previously could not answer. also with these answers we can also find out own opinions of things such as love, life, pain, anger, and more. through shakespeare we can learn alot about ourselves than we ever knew before.

got the job
i've been looking for almost a full year now for a job, and on 03-03-10 i finally got a job at holiday world. now i can help support my family, my gf's family, and my own future family in a few more months. i can't wait!!!!

one piece!
one piece is an amazing anime (japanese cartoon) for teenagers and adults. it seems to be very strange when you start watching it, which is probably because it is, but it has an amazing story, always hillarious, and will keep you on the edge of your seat through out thier adventures.
the story begins with Monkey D. Luffy (Luffy) who is a pirate that is trying to find a crew to travel around the world with him to find one piece. one piece is a treasure left by the past pirate king who proclaimed before his execution that those who find it will become king of the pirates.
in this world of pirates vs the world navy, there are strange and magical fruits that if eaten will give the person amazing powers (also called devil fruits because of thier strange powers). in luffy's case his body turned into rubber after eating the gumu gumu fruit. the downside with having these powers is when you come into contact with sea water. if this happens your body is drained of all it's energy and you will sink like a rock if in the ocean/sea.
anways as Luffy continues on his adventures he meets many interesting characters and acquires his crew mates through his strange ability to make friends with anyone. the first crewmate he finds at a navy island base is Zoro (english name Solo) who is, as his name suggests, a swordsman who weild's three swords. Zoro is on a journey to find the greatest swordsman and defeat him. by doing so he will fullfil his promise to his friend who had died in his arms many years ago when they were young.
the next crewmate who he meets soon after is Nami. she is a navigator who is working for some mermen who had killed her foster mother, and is ravaging her town. by working for this evil merman she is searching the world for 1,000,000 beri which is equivalent to 1,000,000 dollars. by doing so she will be able to pay the merman and restore thier town and the mermen will leave.
after finding Nami they find a sniper named Usopp, who is also a coward and known as the greatest liar. at his island he pretends to be a pirate spreading lies about how real pirates are attack and sending the town into a panic. eventually the town doesn't listen to it anymore and usopp finds at the other side of the island that real pirates are invading. he runs through town screaming at the top of his lungs about pirates coming, but nobody listens. Luffy and his small crew arrive and defeat the enemy pirates, and thier leader. after which Usopp is invited to join the crew to try and become a more brave and courageous perosn. now Luffy's crew, which is now known as the Straw Hat pirates because Luffy wears a straw hat given to him by the one he admires most.
after some time the straw hats find a floating resturaunt in the middle of the sea. there they find Sanji which will be thier next member. Sanji is a cook and a ladies man, who many times gets himself into trouble because he just can't resist a pretty face. Sanji has a dispute with his boss, who is also the one who saved Sanji's life when his boss was a pirate a long time ago. Sanji is always trying to outdo his boss/mentor whe it comes to cooking, but his boss eventually kicks him out. his reasons of course are because he knew Sanji wanted to go with Luffy. Sanji's reasons is to find the legendary All Blue. this is where all 4 currents of the 4 oceans meet and is where every spice, fish, ect. in the world is at in one place. after a struggle Sanji is thrown out of the floating resturaunt and now is part of the Straw Hat Pirates.
this is where the Straw Hats find the grand line. it is a dangerous place full of monsters at every turn. in order to get into the grand line though, they must cross a mountain that stretches across both ways across the ocean. from there they must find a river that flows up the mountain. this may seem illogical, but it's there. after crossing this dangerous mountain they end up in the grand line.
from there they end up at a large island that has snow all year round. (on a side note because of the strange weather patterns of the grand line one island may be completely covered in snow all year round, but the another island next to it may also be a permanent desert. it's a unpredictable ocean that is dangerous/difficult to travel, even for the most skilled seagoers) on this island of ice and snow they meet up with a reindeer who had eaten one of the fruits talked about earlier. it gave the deer the ability to talk and take a human-like form. his name is Chopper and lives with a strange doctor who is called a witch by many people. Chopper studied under the doctor and learned she had passed down to him. Luffy and crew find this island and search for the doctor to help Nami because of her illness she had gotten from a bug bite that is usally fatal. after finding the doctor and meeting Chopper Nami's condition improves but the previous tyrant King arrives and attempts to take back his throne and castle, which is also where the doctor is currently living. after a feirce battle of the fruit users (the king has a fruit ability that allows him to eat anything and incorperate it to his body and create anything) Luffy defeats the king and saves the island. from there they leave and Chopper who always wanted to travel the world follows.
there are many more people and more adventures but i won't spoil anything else for you. i highly recomend this show.

pregnancy!
my girlfriend amanda is 6 months pregnant today. we're also going to get some more ultrasounds. i can't wait!!!!! seeing out baby jackie through the ultrasounds is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soul Eater
this is probably one of the best anime's i've ever seen in a long time. i greatly recomend this show. when it ended i wanted to cry because i wanted to see more. lol it's basically about shinigami's (those who hunt evil creature and protect the world from a possible demon god from emerging) they have weapons which can take human form and eat the tainted souls of these creatures. when they reach 100 souls and eat a witches soul they become a death sythe which can be used to defeat a demon god. a school is set up and is used to teach children and send them on missions to accomplish the goals of the society made up by the death god (who is rather a silly/funny character) anyways, i won't give any more out. i'll let you watch and find out. or you could read the manga (which i recomend even more) but i must tell you, manga's are read from right to left. backwards from the american style of reading. once you get the hang of it though, it's greatly enjoyable.
